Constance Mitchell Ford heads the Global Real Estate and Property bureau for The Wall Street Journal in New York. In that role, she oversees all reporting on the business and financial aspects of residential and commercial real estate, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the Federal Home Loan Banks, commercial and residential mortgage-backed securities, the public home builders, the real estate holdings of pension funds and private-equity firms and Real Estate Investment Trusts. Connie leads a team of real estate reporters in all major corners of the globe, including New York, Pittsburgh, Houston, and Los Angeles, as well as Chicago and Europe, and guides all content for The Wall Street Journal's Property Report pages, Personal Journal, and WSJ.com. Prior to entering the field of journalism, Connie worked at the Brookings Institute and was an assistant economist at Brimmer & Co., an economic consulting firm headed by former Federal Reserve Board Governor Andrew Brimmer.
