Charles Townsend represents mortgage loan originators, servicers, and investors in class and individual lawsuits, bankruptcy adversary cases, and contested foreclosures. Prior to joining the firm, Charles served as a Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Countrywide Home Loans, Inc. and subsequently Bank of America, N.A.

Charles has significant experience litigating claims arising under the Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Housing Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and those based on state fair lending, collection and deceptive trade practice laws. In addition, he has managed litigation and investigations initiated by state and national regulatory and enforcement agencies as well as inquiries initiated by members of Congress.
