Lloyd Jordan has over 28 years of experience in the practice of law. Lloyd's main areas of practice are Government Affairs & Public Policy, Government Contracts, Litigation, and Insurance. His comprehensive understanding and knowledge of federal, state, and local governments is derived from his many years of executive government service and his many years of providing advice to government entities. He has represented numerous entities before federal, state, and local governing bodies including the Congress and Executive branches of the Government of the United States. He provides support to clients in appropriations, legislative, and regulatory matters.

Lloyd's knowledge of government and litigation experience allows him to provide services to clients in government contracts and procurement. He has significant experience in bid protests, claims and terminations, construction contracts, contract counseling, corporate transactions, GSA schedule, and other contracting matters. He also provides services counseling in small business issues and SBA certifications, and compliance with government minority and women business requirements, and the identification of qualified minority and women businesses.

Lloyd's litigation experience includes over 200 trial matters, and he has across-the-board experience in coverage, liability, and compliance insurance issues. He has served as a Co-Chairman of the American Bar Association Committee on Insurance Regulations and has been defense and/or coverage counsel to some of the world’s largest insurance companies and government entities. Lloyd also has experience as a regulatory attorney, having served as counsel to the Commissioners of Insurance for the U.S. Virgin Islands, Missouri, and Louisiana. Additionally, Governor Mel Carnahan appointed him to the Missouri Transition Commission on Insurance Reform. Lloyd has served as receiver attorney having been appointed by courts in D&O and professional malpractice cases.

Representation of a CENCOM contractor in an arbitration action brought by a subcontractor for breach of contract.
Representation of a government service provider in a disbarment action.
Representation of the State of Louisiana Commissioner of Insurance-Receiver in a legal malpractice lawsuit.
Representation of the Commissioner of Insurance of the United States Virgin Islands in the examination and prosecution of four insurers in an action for unauthorized and illegal rates.
Representation of a large retail entity in a product liability lawsuit.
Representation of the City of St. Louis School Board in numerous personal injury lawsuits that including but not limited to actions for slip & fall, failure to supervise, and defective conditions.
Representation in a lawsuit brought against a large automobile manufacturer for product liability and wrongful death.

Government Affairs
