Alia Luria joined Akerman after a prior career working for multiple startup companies as a web developer and software engineer. Alia has software experience in web-based application development spanning a range of industries, including the telecommunications, entertainment, and business-to-business services industries. Alia's experience spans various platforms utilizing a number of programming and scripting languages and software tools. Alia utilizes this experience when advising clients on corporate, intellectual property licensing, data privacy and security, and internet law issues.

Alia's practice focuses on transactions involving general corporate matters, intellectual property matters, cyberlaw, private equity financing, and tax matters. Alia also has experience representing lenders in connection with banking and securitization transactions.
