Mark Passler is the Akerman Intellectual Property Practice Group Chair. His practice concentrates in intellectual property and entertainment law, and specifically includes: procuring, licensing and enforcing patent, trademark and copyright rights; intellectual property due diligence for complex mergers, acquisitions and other intellectual property transfers; negotiation of complex agreements with music publishing companies, record companies, motion picture production companies, television networks, independent content providers and aggregators; advising clients with respect to new business models; representation of recording artists and songwriters in connection with recording, publishing, merchandising, sponsorship and endorsement agreements; and preparing and negotiating website, software development and other technology agreements. He serves as the primary point of contact for numerous senior managers, brand managers, in-house counsel, technology transfer professionals and inventors.
