Janis Cheezem specializes in the leasing, acquisition, sale, disposition, and financing of commercial real estate, and in the workouts and restructurings of commercial real estate assets. She has been primarily responsible for the leasing of millions of square feet of office, retail, and industrial properties and relishes solving deal issues in innovative and practical ways. As Chair of Lex Mundi's Global Real Estate Practice Group, Janis benefits from hands-on relationships with seasoned and diverse real estate and finance counsel in many of Lex Mundi's 160 worldwide member firms in developing best practices and joint client services. Janis is a frequent speaker before numerous professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, CoreNet Global, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the University of Miami School of Law Annual Real Estate Institute.
