Thomas Range assists insurers, health maintenance organizations, regulated health care providers, and other regulated entities with licensure approvals, compliance issues, and other regulatory matters before the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, Department of Financial Services, Agency for Health Care Administration, and other state and federal agencies. In addition to his regulatory practice, he also represents clients in federal, state, and administrative litigation. Prior to law school, Tom gained considerable experience in the biotechnology industry as he worked for nine years in various capacities for a national biopharmaceutical company, including five years in management for several of its facilities throughout the country.

Assisted a licensed Florida company with notification requirements and regulatory compliance issues arising under the 2009 HIPAA amendments (HITECH), which created new duties in cases involving the unauthorized disclosure of protected health information.
