The article featured the commentary of various law firm leaders in Florida about the state of the economy and lessons learned from Dewey & LeBoeuf, the New York law firm that filed for bankruptcy recently. In Florida, law firm leaders are keeping a watchful eye on spending and finances.

Andrew Smulian, Chairman and CEO of Akerman Senterfitt, was interviewed for the article. "You have to be disciplined and focused," Smulian said. "We're very responsible and conservative in our financing and have no net debt."
