Luis O'Naghten Authors Chapter on International Arbitration

Luis O'Naghten recently authored a chapter, "A Long Road Travelled; A Long Road to the Journey's End," in the International Comparative Legal Guide to: International Arbitration 2012.
In the chapter, Luis discusses the challenges Latin America faced in modernizing its legal framework for international arbitration. He focuses on the Region's adoption of the arbitration framework, the arbitral clause, challenges to the arbitral award, the rise of Latin American arbitral institutions, trends in Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Venezuela; and outlines core challenges including the lingering judicial interference in arbitration and the constitutionalisation of arbitration in Latin America.
