Akerman Senterfitt's Ned Nashban Appointed to Investment Policy Committee by Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners

Akerman Senterfitt today announced that Ned Nashban, shareholder in the firm's Litigation Practice Group, has been appointed to the Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners' Investment Policy Committee. As a member of the committee, Nashban will be responsible for reviewing local and state policies governing the investment of excess capital by county governments to ensure that the board's investments are in compliance, as well as the drafting of new policies for responsible investing by the county. 

For more than 30 years, Nashban has grown a global law practice prosecuting and defending litigation in or related to bankruptcy cases, including preference claims, fraudulent transfer claims, and non-dischargeability litigation, and the representation of purchasers of assets out of bankruptcy estates. He represents clients worldwide, particularly in the areas of maritime law, business law, commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditor's rights, and problem loan workouts.

Nashban is actively involved in related organizations, including the Bankruptcy Bar of South Florida, Commercial Law League of America, Milwaukee Bar Association, and Palm Beach County Bar Association. He is also a national board member of the Development Corporation for Israel, chairman of the Palm Beach County State of Israel Bonds, cabinet member of the State of Israel Bonds National Campaign, member of the North American Jewish Forum and Israel Forum, as well as a board member of the Hillel Foundation University of Wisconsin, Inc.
