In the story titled, "Akerman Moves to Larger New York Office on Fifth Ave," Law360 reported that Akerman Senterfitt moved its New York office to a 60,000-square-foot space at 666 Fifth Avenue in midtown Manhattan. Law360 also noted that Akerman opened its New York office with just seven lawyers in 2005 and has grown to include nearly 60 lawyers and real estate development professionals; attorney headcount within the first three months of 2013 compared to the same period in 2012 increased by 32.9 percent.

Steven Polivy, managing shareholder of Akerman's New York office was quoted as saying, "The new office gives us increased visibility and greater ability to attract lateral candidates."
