Steven Polivy, office managing shareholder of Akerman's New York office, was quoted in the New York Law Journal column, "Marketplace," discussing the expansion of the firm's New York office and its key growth areas. 

Polivy commented, "Client needs and ongoing recruiting success are major drivers of our growth. Prominent laterals continue to join the Akerman New York office with lawyer headcount in the first three months of 2013 increasing by nearly 30 percent."

The New York Law Journal reported that Akerman's recent hires boosted the firm's mergers and acquisitions, real estate, financial services and Latin America practices and also its intellectual property, financial services, professional liability and real estate litigation teams.
