Michael Marsh, Francisco Rodriguez, Jennifer Cohen Glasser, J. Thomas Cookson and Naim Surgeon were featured in the Daily Business Review's "Verdicts and Settlements" column for their recent trial victory on behalf of Medytox Solutions, Inc. in an article titled, "Akerman Team Wins $3.66 Million Judgment in Laboratory's Breach of Contract Case."

The article outlines details about the case, in which Medytox sought damages for a breach of contract and defamation against Trident Laboratories, a Hollywood toxicology lab specializing in urinalysis for drug rehabilitation centers. After a six-day jury trial, Medytox was awarded $2.9 million in damages for breach of contract and lost profits and company Chairman, Seamus Lagan was awarded $750,000 in damages for defamation.

"We feel our clients were vindicated for their efforts and hard work and their successful business plan," Rodriguez said. "We were very satisfied with the fact that the jury was able to understand this very complex transaction and get to the bottom of it."
