Akerman Senterfitt today announced that it represented lifestyle retailer Salt Life Holdings, LLC, the owner of "Salt Life" trademarks, in the sale of substantially all of its assets to Delta Apparel, Inc. (NYSE: DLA), an international design, marketing, manufacturing, and sourcing company of active wear apparel. The transaction closed on August 27, 2013.

Akerman shareholders Timothy Crass and Rema Awad with the firm's Corporate Practice Group served as lead lawyers in the deal.
