In The News

Neisen Kasdin, Miami office managing shareholder at Akerman Senterfitt and vice chair & state cabinet representative of The Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA), was quoted in the Miami Herald article, "Rilea Group’s Alan Ojeda builds for the long haul." The article highlights fellow DDA board member Alan Ojeda, also CEO of Rilea Group, who ventured into Miami real estate from Spain over 30 years ago. Since then, Ojeda has contributed toward the DDA's vision of developing Downtown Miami into a business, social and cultural epicenter of the Americas. Fueled by demand among foreign real estate buyers, Ojeda has partnered with both Miami and  international investors, including the Madrid-based private-equity firm MDR Americana, and designers, such as high-end interior designer from Mexico, Loguer Design, to create a gravity center for high-end retail and luxury apartments in Miami's urban core.

Kasdin acknowledged Ojeda's sophisticated and educated  point of view of what makes a great world city. Kasdin has worked alongside various other foreign real estate developers in transformational deals throughout South Florida, including Hong Kong-based Swire Properties in the development of Brickell City Center;  Consultatio SA, one of the largest real estate developers in Argentina, in its acquisition of land in Bal Harbour; as well as Faena Group, founded by Argentinian real estate developer Alan Faena in the creation of the Faena District, an enclave of high design, culture, and hospitality in the heart of Miami Beach.
