Akerman has once again joined forces with the St. Baldrick's Foundation to organize a community head-shaving fundraiser for childhood cancer research. On Wednesday, March 12, inspired individuals will gather at the Duffy's Sports Grill on Clematis St. in West Palm Beach to shave their heads in solidarity with child cancer patients who have lost their hair through chemotherapy treatment. The event will begin at noon with a live broadcast by ESPN Radio personality, Josh Cohen. By 4 pm, volunteers will line-up to shave their heads. Everyone is invited to join, contribute and help spread the word. Click here to register for this event or to make a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

As part of Akerman's effort to raise awareness, Eric Gordon, managing partner of Akerman's West Palm Beach office recorded a public service announcement that aired on Sunny 107.9 FM, WIRK 103.1 FM, and WRFM 97.9 FM radio in Palm Beach County.

"No donation is too small - it's all about raising awareness and coming together as allies in the community so that together we can all take one step closer toward finding a cure for childhood cancer," said Gordon.
