Akerman Chairman and CEO Andrew Smulian, along with the firm's office managing partners for South Florida's try-county area, were named for another consecutive year among the 2014 Power Leaders by the South Florida Business Journal.  

In Miami-Dade County, the publication recognized Smulian for his leadership role in the business of law and praised Miami Office Managing Partner Neisen Kasdin's involvement in transformational projects that have defined the region.

Office Managing Partner David Ristaino in Broward County received ample recognition for having completed more than 60 acquisitions since 2011. Further, Akerman's Managing Shareholder Eric Gordon in Palm Beach County received top honors for his client work in labor and employment cases and various litigation matters.
