In a Daily Business Review article titled, "Miami Beach Planning Board Wary Of Mega-Hotel Proposal," Neisen Kasdin, Miami office managing partner, was recognized for outperforming various proposals to Miami Beach's waterfront during a City Planning Board meeting. The article explained that the Board's rejection of various Miami Beach projects was in marked contrast to a request made by Kasdin on behalf of the owners of the former Saxony Hotel. Kasdin received approval on a conditional-use permit that would allow multiple businesses, including four restaurants, to operate inside the hotel during renovations and also provide ample parking for future guests.

The Daily Business Review wrote: "Unlike the previous hotel applicant, Kasdin successfully convinced the board that parking planned in what's being termed Miami Beach's Faena District, which includes the Saxony hotel, would provide adequate parking for hotel guests and visitors."
