Richard Bezold, chair of the Real Estate Practice Group, and Yariv Ben-Ari were quoted in the Law360 story, "2015 Looks Sunny to RE Attorneys, Though Troubles Lurk," which examined the state of the U.S. real estate market and key economic indicators. The Akerman lawyers discussed the increase of foreign investment in the United States through both traditional sources and alternative financing vehicles, such as EB-5. Bezold also addressed rising interest in the medical office and senior living sectors among investors and developers.

"As you get more people that are insured, you need more places for them to go. Those that invest in medical office buildings are looking for opportunities," Bezold said. "We're seeing some acquisitions in the senior living facilities, and I think we'll start seeing a good amount of new development there.

"We continue to see growth in the EB-5 sector for various types of investments," said Ben-Ari.
