Appellate Practice Co-Chair Gerald Cope authored an article for the Daily Business Review about rule changes promulgated by the Florida Supreme Court that will modernize electronic appellate records. The article titled, "Rules Proposed for Electronic Appellate Records," examined how new transmission practices, and page numeration standards in particular, will resolve many challenges faced by judges and legal counsel during final appeals.

"Florida's appellate judges complain that they have trouble locating documents in the electronic record on appeal. That is a significant problem because appeals can succeed or fail depending on what is or is not in the record," Cope wrote in the Daily Business Review.
