Spencer Crowley and Steven Wernick were quoted in a Daily Business Review article titled, "Miami River Board Looking to Clear Waterfront Promenade." The article analyzed issues with public access of waterfront pedestrian promenades in downtown Miami due to competing dynamics between city authorities and several private entities. In their respective roles as commissioner of the Florida Inland Navigation District and chair of City of Miami Waterfront Advisory Board, Crowley and Wernick explained the publication how they would work with different community stakeholders to ensure the city's riverfront becomes a pedestrian oasis clear of unnecessary hurdles.

The Daily Business Review wrote, "T. Spencer Crowley, an Akerman partner, is a commissioner with the Florida Inland Navigation District, or FIND. In a letter dated Tuesday on behalf of the special taxing authority, Crowley said FIND would push for 'significant renewed focus and continuous monitoring' to remove obstructions from the easternmost stretch east of I-95."
