In support of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, Akerman's Women's Initiative is hosting Brighten Up® Educational Workshops in partnership with Bright Pink to promote prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer. The program is aimed at empowering women to be proactive advocates for their health. As the first law firm to partner nationally with Bright Pink, Akerman lawyers and professionals are also raising funds throughout October to support the life-saving work of the Bright Pink organization.

Bright Pink is the only national not-for-profit organization focused on prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in women.
