The horrific events that unfolded in Orlando this weekend are devastating. The senseless violence has profoundly impacted so many in our community and throughout our law firm. At Akerman, we grieve and stand with the victims and their families, and all those affected by this tragedy.

Today, and in the days ahead, we begin the healing process. The firm will honor the victims and their families with a donation to the Orlando Health Foundation for its Trauma Center, which is the primary medical facility caring for the victims. We will also continue to provide support to the Human Rights Campaign and the LGBTQ community.

Our more than 1,200 employees across the nation join the millions of voices around the world in solidarity with Orlando and LGBTQ individuals everywhere. We remain united and resilient in the face of adversity.
