Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, has bolstered its hospitality, real estate and corporate teams with the addition of transactional partner Ronald Kornreich. He builds upon Akerman's core strengths in mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.

Kornreich has worked with virtually all the leading hotel companies, negotiating hotel management contracts. He handles acquisitions and sales in the hospitality space, representing buyers and sellers of individual hotel assets, hotel portfolios and hotel management companies. He also regularly negotiates franchise agreements, joint venture agreements, financing arrangements, and residential management, marketing, and license agreements.

Kornreich's practice also encompasses a wide range of commercial transactions. He represents commercial real estate developers, investors, and capital providers in negotiating partnership agreements, operating agreements, and other joint venture arrangements for investments in office, retail, senior housing facility, multifamily, and office projects. He is also a skilled mergers and acquisitions lawyer with extensive experience with middle-market transactions in a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, technology and sports.

Kornreich joins what Law360 ranked as one of the world's largest Real Estate Practice Groups and a leading mergers and acquisitions teams in the United States. He follows a wave of lateral partner hires in the Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Dallas markets, who bring a cross-section of experience to Akerman's Hospitality Sector Team. The team most recently welcomed former general counsel of global real estate conglomerate Reading International Inc. William "Bill" Ellis in Los Angeles. In the last year, Akerman also added real estate transactional partners Jane Hinton in Los Angeles, New York-based Dianne Greenberg Penchina and Ian Tattenbaum, along with labor and employment litigator Bran Noonan, and bankruptcy and restructuring partners David Parham and John Mitchell in Dallas.
