Chambers & Partners Recognizes Akerman Senterfitt Attorneys and Practice Groups in 2010 Chambers USA Guide
June 11, 2010
The 2010 edition of the Chambers USA Guide, an annual listing of the leading lawyers and law firms in the United States, has awarded Akerman Senterfitt high rankings in multiple practice areas and markets, and listed 45 Akerman attorneys as leading practitioners in their respective practice groups.  A total of 14 practice groups were ranked, with Corporate M&A & Private Equity receiving the number one spot for the seventh consecutive year in Florida, and Insurance receiving top honors as well.  For the first time, the firm’s Construction practice was also recognized for its national presence.

Other practices recognized by Chambers include: Banking & Finance, Bankruptcy/Restructuring, Environment, Healthcare, Real Estate, Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use, Tax, Labor & Employment, and Litigation.

“It is extremely gratifying that the Chambers USA Guide continually recognizes the hard work and dedication of our many attorneys and practices.  We are truly honored that our Corporate M&A and Private Equity practices once again received the number one spot in Florida,” said Andrew Smulian, Chairman and CEO of the firm.  “This is well deserved recognition of our deep commitment to client service and excellence in counsel.”

The Chambers USA Guide is one of a series of Chambers & Partners' research-based guides to the legal profession. The qualities on which rankings are assessed include technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by clients.
