Top 100 U.S. law firm Akerman today announced the appointment of Heather L. Fesnak as Deputy Chair of the firm's Consumer Financial Services, Data and Technology (CFS+) Practice.
CFS+ Chair and founder William P. Heller said this appointment reflects the group's expansion in number of lawyers, geographic coverage and scope of services, but even more Heather's dedication and valuable contributions to the practice group's success.

Just over 1 year ago the practice was rebranded as CFS+ to specifically include fintech and privacy as primary concentrations along with nationally recognized big stakes, class and high volume portfolio litigation and risk management, with authentic experience leading jury trials, arbitrations and appeals in all states and territories. Heather L. Fesnak has been a partner at Akerman since 2015. Based in Tampa, she has led that office's CFS+ team since 2015 and represents a wide range of financial services providers with a deep concentration on the residential mortgage lending and servicing industry. She also serves internally on the firm's professional development council and is a graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay. She earned her J.D. from University of Michigan and a B.A. from Georgetown University.
