An article published in the New York Law Journal highlighted Akerman as one of six non-New York based firms that have added significant groups to their real estate practice in New York in the last 18 months. Most notably the firm attracted a team of five lawyers with a robust skillset in the financing of significant real estate transactions. Alan Cohen, who joined as chair of the firm’s Real Estate Finance Practice, Randy Eckers, Michael Estreicher, Samuel Lee and Alexander (A.J.) Sokoloff advance the firm’s services for lender and borrower clients.
