Litigation partner Catherine Bentley Harris in Austin was selected as the recipient of the 2022 Top Women Lawyer by The National Diversity Council, which recognizes Harris for her professional excellence and consistent leadership as a role model and mentor for women.

Harris focuses on assisting companies in formation, governance, and general corporate law as well as the selection, protection, and enforcement of intellectual property assets. She also helps companies with labor and employment issues including the negotiation of employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, and non-disclosure agreements as well as compliance with state and federal employment laws. Her diverse practice further involves the provision of legal assistance to companies on various complex litigation matters.

The National Diversity Council is the first non-profit organization to bring together the private, public, and non-profit sectors to discuss the many dimensions and benefits of a multicultural environment. Launched in the fall of 2008, the Council is a forerunner of community based, national organizations that champion diversity and inclusion across the country. It is currently made up of state and regional councils, the National Women’s Council and the Healthcare Diversity Council.

Bentley will receive the award during the 4th Annual Virtual Legal Diversity Summit on September 27.
