In a Law360 article titled, "A Look At Tax Policies Of 5 Governors Seeking New Terms," tax partner Lauren Ferrante examined the recent tax relief package revealed by Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, who was running for re-election at the time of the interview (he prevailed on November 8th).  She noted that Pritzker's actions shifted from pushes to raise revenue early in his term to this year's package of tax breaks, in response to inflation and the revenue increases of the pandemic.

Law360 wrote: "Looking ahead, with many of the current tax breaks set to expire next year, Ferrante told Law360 the governor is likely taking the same approach as many Illinois residents. 'And that's, let's wait and see,' she said."
