International Practice Chair Pedro Freyre was recently interviewed on CNN Español sharing his point of view on the sanctions that the West has imposed on Russia and President Putin. Western nations have imposed severe sanctions on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine, including freezing the assets of Russia’s central bank, limiting its ability to access its dollar reserves. The U.S., EU and U.K. have also banned people and businesses from dealing with Russia’s central bank, finance ministry and wealth fund.
