International Practice Chair Pedro Freyre, Cuba Practice Chair Augusto Maxwell and Cuba Special Advisor Matthew Aho spoke with more than 30 of the world’s leading news organizations about the U.S. Administration’s June 15 policy decision to tighten commercial and humanitarian relations with Cuba. They discussed the implications of this regulatory shift for U.S. businesses, trade relations and American travel. As federal agencies start putting the president’s announcement into actionable rules, they also noted businesses and other interest groups focused on shaping the rulemaking process will likely further engage with government officials.
