James Goldsmith has been appointed president-elect of the Orlando chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), a global organization focused on driving middle-market dealmaking and corporate growth. During the 2018-2019 term he will take the helm as president, overseeing the organization’s strategic projects, educational programs and networking events geared for middle-market M&A dealmakers and business leaders in Central Florida.

Goldsmith is a longtime member and leader at ACG Orlando. He serves on the board of directors and as vice president of programs. At Akerman, he represents public and private companies, including private equity funds, in a variety of transactions. His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, private equity, federal income tax, securities, and state and local government matters.

Founded in 2004, ACG Orlando connects growing businesses in Central Florida with local, national and global capital markets, and helps facilitate relationship building between these companies, capital sources and professionals active in corporate finance.
