Akerman is pleased to announce that Kanika Corley has been named a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow. The LCLD Fellow is an intensive year-long professional development program that connects high-potential attorneys with leading general counsel, managing partners and their peers for mentoring and career guidance.

Corley is a litigator based in Akerman's Los Angeles office. She has experience representing an array of clients including print, digital and television media companies, technology companies, and sports and entertainment companies. She is also a rising star in the evolving area of name, image, and likeness law. Corley is heavily involved in the legal community as a frequent author and speaker, and she has been recognized for her work by Super Lawyers Magazine, Benchmark Litigation, and the Los Angeles Business Journal.

The LCLD is an organization of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who have pledged to create a truly diverse U.S. legal profession.
