Non-competes have gained a lot of attention in the last few years. Recent examples include: federally, being targeted by the National Labor Relations Board and the Federal Trade Commission; NY State’s broad proposal being struck down by Governor Hochul, who indicated that she is on board with a lesser ban; and another large-scale ban is pending before the New York City Council.
