Akerman and The Nguyen Law Firm are co-sponsors of the second Pathways Series event, “Pathways to Leadership,” presented by the Coalition of Florida APIA Affiliates (APABA of Tampa Bay, APABA South Florida, the Greater Orlando Asian American Bar Association, and the Jacksonville Asian American Bar Association). The virtual event will provide an intimate discussion with four Florida-based lawyers who will discuss their path to bar leadership. The panelists will include: 

• Jay Kim, Florida Bar Board of Governors Board Member (its first APIA board member), and one of APABA South Florida’s founding members.
• Liz McCausland, Past President of Orange County Bar Association, executive board member of the Florida Bar’s Solo and Small Firm Section, and prior member of the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Section, the Florida Bar’s Leadership Academy Committee and executive board of the Central Florida Association For Women Lawyers.
• Alice Sum, Florida Bar Board of Governors Board Member (its first woman APIA board member) and JNC Member, and one of APABA South Florida’s founding members.
• Grace Yang, Immediate Past President of the Hillsborough County Bar Association (its first APIA president), current Trustee of the Hillsborough County Bar Foundation, past Vice President and board member of the Hillsborough Association of Women Lawyers, and one of APABA Tampa Bay’s founding members.
