Akerman is a sponsor of the PODER25 General Counsel Dinner presented by the Hispanic National Bar (HNBA). Former President of the HNBA, Erica Mason, in collaboration with the HNBA and HNBA VIA Fund, helped launch “PODER25,” a Fortune 500 General Counsel Pipeline. The program’s mission is to increase the number of Hispanic attorneys occupying senior positions within corporate legal departments by developing a pipeline of legal talent and assisting with their collective advancement. PODER25’s immediate goal is to increase the number of Hispanic General Counsel in Fortune 500 companies to a minimum of 20 by the year 2025.
