Akerman is a sponsor of the 2022 General Counsel Institute Virtual Program, hosted by the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA). NACUA's General Counsel Institute provides an invaluable opportunity for in-house general counsel and deputy general counsel at member higher education institutions to learn from and with their peers. The sessions will cover a wide range of topics of special interest to in-house general counsel. 

There will also be discussion groups, focusing on a range of topics including athletics, undue foreign influence, office management, Title IX, mental health, campus police, cybersecurity, and a revival of the very popular deputy general counsel convening.
