Caroline Mankey will speak on a webinar for Bridgeport Cotinuing Education titled, "Navigating the Minefields of Social Media: New Platforms for Liability." The webinar will discuss how courts are applying to social media the doctrines that have historically arisen in the context of media and advertising, including copyright and trademark infringement, defamation, misappropriation of publicity rights, and invasion of privacy. Some of the topics the webinar will cover include: preservation of social media evidence, discovery and production of social media content, potential sanctions for spoliation of social media evidence, and issues involving authentication.
