David Slenn will speak on a panel titled, "Wealth Transfer and Creditors' Rights" at the 2023 Business Law Section Hybrid Spring Meeting, presented by the American Bar Association. Panelists will address the controversial intersection between creditors’ rights and the transfer of wealth, which is sure to become more prevalent given economic conditions and some projected outlooks.

The presentation will highlight high-profile cases featuring debtors who transfer their wealth and the creditors who aggressively “follow the money” to satisfy judgments.

The program will also provide due diligence tips for transactional attorneys to prevent transaction avoidance, punitive damages, denial of discharge and ethical discipline, as well as tips for litigators faced with complex transactions orchestrated by debtors and their counsel.
