Akerman is a sponsor of the "Go Formal for Freedom Gala" presented by the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN). Amy McCullough is serving as the junior co-chair of the gala and will also assume her position as chair of the board for GAIN in June of 2019. GAIN's mission is to provide free immigration legal services to victims of crime and persecution. At GAIN's annual gala, leaders in Atlanta's legal and corporate communities raise funds that are critical to serving hundreds of people a year with free immigration legal services.
