Speaking Engagements

Jason Lichtstein will speak at the 2022 National Brownfields Training Conference on a roundtable session titled, "State Brownfield Associations & Collaborative Partnerships: Connecting People to Programs" and will also present as part of a topic talk session titled, "What the Coming Wave of Electric Vehicles Means for the Future of Gas Stations."

The roundtable session will be designed to (i) present the range and diversity of state and regional Brownfield associations and state-based Brownfield partnerships, collaborations, and organizations active in the U.S., their origin, structure, role, and mission, and (ii) discuss ways that states and communities without state Brownfield associations or organizations can establish their own and practical steps to take home from the conference.

The topic talk session will provide a high-level focus on the intersection of (i) intensive public and private-sector efforts to dramatically increase the number of electric vehicles (EVs) in the U.S. and (ii) the future of gas station sites in the U.S., as the number of traditional gasoline-fueled automobiles are projected to decrease and EVs (and EV charging stations) significantly increase.

The conference will offer high quality learning experiences and peer-to-peer networking for stakeholders looking for beginner basics to those needing more advanced training and connections.
