Tax Partner Stefi George will present two topics at the upcoming Advanced Tax Seminars hosted by the American Bar Association and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. During the Advanced Income Tax Seminar, Stefi will speak on “The Pros and Cons of Insuring State Tax Controversies,” addressing the benefits of tax insurance, how it works, the cost, and how it reduces tax reserves. The panel will provide case studies where tax insurance has been used in M&A transactions, state tax positions on returns, and pending state tax litigation.

In “Navigating the Complexities of Sourcing Receipts for Taxable Services” during the Advanced Sales & Use Tax Seminar, Stefi will examine the recent developments in the taxation of services and the various approaches that states are taking to source those services for sales and use tax.
