Akerman is a sponsor of The Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Employment Law Committee program on Whistleblower & Qui Tam Actions.  Eric Gordon will present "Florida Whistleblower Act, Defendant’s Perspective," in which he will provide attendees with up-to-date knowledge concerning the various federal and state whistleblower statutes, including the types of employee complaints and alleged employer retaliatory actions these statutes cover. Attendees will receive practical advice on how to recognize potential whistleblower claims, and then how to best avoid those claims and limit liability in this rapidly-evolving area of law.
