| Experience Joseph Falk served as the Legislative Chairman, 2005 -2007, and the President, 2001-2002, of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers. Joe directed the legislative and regulatory affairs efforts of NAMB and he continues to serve on the Board of Directors. NAMB represents the interests of mortgage brokers in educational, regulatory, governmental and industry affairs. NAMB has 49 state affiliates and over 26,000 members.
In 2007, Mr. Falk was named a member of the Consumer Advisory Council to the Federal Reserve Board. The Council advises the Board on the exercise of its responsibilities under the Consumer Credit Protection Act and other matters in the area of consumer financial services. Areas of interest include Truth In Lending, HOEPA, HMDA, Affordable Housing, Financial Literacy, the Community Reinvestment Act, Bank Fees, Truth in Savings, and financial privacy. The appointment runs three years and the Council meets in Washington DC three times per year.
Mr. Falk is also the author of the NAMB's ‘Model State Statute Initiative for the Licensing and Education of All Originators'. He participated in 3 of the HUD sponsored Roundtables discussing RESPA reform. Mr. Falk has testified many times before Congress.
