One of Florida's leading business publications has recognized Akerman's Chief Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion Officer, Dr. Cassandra Caldwell, yet again. Legacy (South Florida) has named Dr. Caldwell to its annual list of "South Florida's Most Powerful & Influential Black Professionals."

"What inspires me about many of the people featured in this issue was their resilience, their ability to rise and rise despite challenge after challenge. Power is in one’s resilience," writes the magazine's Editor-in-Chief Dinkinish O’Connor.

Dr. Caldwell was featured on the cover of Legacy last year as one of Miami’s "Most Prominent and Influential Black Women in Business and Industry," which was a tribute to those whose achievements have left an indelible imprint on the South Florida region through their commitment to leadership and service.

Dr. Caldwell has more than 25 years of experience guiding corporate organizations and other major institutions to achieving tangible, sustainable results. She works closely with Akerman’s leadership to implement programming, initiatives, outreach, and external partnerships designed to propel recruitment, engagement, development, and retention, strengthening Akerman’s foundational commitment to DEI.
