Jacqueline Arango was selected as a recipient of the Daily Business Review's Women of Law award, which honors 20 accomplished female lawyers in South Florida for their notable achievements in business and the community.

Arango is the chair of Akerman's White Collar Crime & Government Investigations Practice. A former United States Attorney and a highly experienced litigator, she represents businesses and individuals in a broad range of white collar criminal defense and complex civil matters. Her practice includes internal corporate investigations, government regulatory matters, and compliance counseling. Arango defends and resolves government investigations arising under criminal and civil statutes including False Claims Act (FCA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). She also advises clients on a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including contractual disputes, securities and other class action defense, civil fraud claims, and insolvency matters.

The Daily Business Review will recognize the 2015 Top 20 Women in Law honorees at a luncheon on Oct. 14 hosted at the JW Marriott Miami.
