Akerman Bankruptcy and Reorganization Partner Adam Swick has been named Chair of International Insolvency Institute’s (III) Delegation to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Working Group V, Insolvency Law.
III plays a significant role in global insolvency policy and enjoys a reputation as a catalyst for improvement and change in the field. As chair of the delegation, Adam will be lead the Delegation to Working Group V’s semiannual meetings in New York and Vienna, Austria.
UNCITRAL, a legal body with members around the globe who specialize in commercial legal reform, works to modernize and harmonize the rules of international business. III is a recognized non-governmental organization and regularly sends a delegation to meetings of UNCITRAL Working Group V.
Adam focuses his practice on bankruptcy and complex commercial litigation matters. He has a robust international practice and has filed a multitude of Chapter 15 bankruptcy cases, many of which have resulted in critical opinions that helped shape the current legal landscape.
