Akerman international bankruptcy lawyer Adam Swick will serve as one of the International Insolvency Institute's (III) two NextGen delegates attending the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) meetings in July 2023.

UNCITRAL, a legal body with members around the globe who specialize in commercial legal reform, works to modernize and harmonize the rules of international business. III is a recognized NGO and regularly sends a delegation to meetings of UNCITRAL Working Group V, Insolvency Law.

Adam focuses his practice on bankruptcy and complex commercial litigation matters. Many of the Chapter 15 international bankruptcy cases he has filed have resulted in critical opinions that helped shape the current legal landscape. Adam is a sought-after speaker on a wide range of international insolvency topics. He is also on the leadership committee for the American Bankruptcy Institute’s (ABI) International Committee, and was recently named to ABI’s 40 under 40 list, which recognizes emerging leaders in the insolvency profession.
