Akerman is pleased to announce its role as legal counsel to Karat Packaging Inc. (Nasdaq: KRT), a leading manufacturer and distributor of disposable foodservice products, and selling stockholders in the $40.5 million secondary offering of Karat common stock.

The offering consisted of 1.5 million shares sold by certain members of Karat’s management team at a public offering price of $27 per share. In addition, the underwriters were granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 225,000 shares. BofA Securities and William Blair & Company, L.L.C. acted as joint lead book-running managers for the offering.
