Top 100 U.S. law firm Akerman LLP has appointed litigation partner Matt Schroeder as Dallas office managing partner, effective immediately.

As office managing partner, Schroeder will continue serving clients while strengthening Akerman’s relationships with civic and business leaders in the Dallas market and guiding the firm’s strategic direction locally. He will also facilitate important local and regional connections, and advance the firm’s goals in this important market.

Schroeder represents major insurance companies in litigation with significant exposure claims that pose extreme risk of loss to the company. He advises insurance companies on policy coverage issues and disputes, as well as environmental regulatory compliance and preventive measures to mitigate future risks.

Schroeder also represents clients in complex commercial disputes and litigation throughout the country in multiple state and federal courts. His experience includes not only trials, but also arbitrations throughout the United States as well as internationally.
